Episode 1

When weight isn’t linear:
Mascha’s weight, fertility and self-kindness story

"It’s little steps that help along the way."

“That was the moment I realised I needed to take action.”

Weight stigma can show up in everyday moments.

Taking action for your weight doesn’t mean doing it alone.

Four conversations.
One journey most people take alone.

Estée leads honest conversations with people who look back at their weight journey – the turning points, and what it really took to get there.

Meet the host

Estée Lalonde

Estée approaches the topic of weight with curiosity – asking the questions she's wanted answers to herself. The conversations that follow are personal.

Estée Lalonde

"Having been through my own weight journey, I know how personal and emotional these conversations can be."

What stayed with you?

Everyone's experience with weight loss is different. You might recognise yourself in more than one topic. Start with what feels closest.

What stayed with you

Weight and fertility are more connected than expected

It was a conversation Mascha didn't see coming. It changed how she understood her own body. How has weight affected your life?

There's more to weight than willpower3

There's more to weight than willpower

The stories you've heard are real – and so is the biology behind them. Weight loss is complex. Understanding what's going on in your body changes how you see the journey, and what kind of support can help.

You don't have to figure this out alone

A conversation with your doctor about weight could be more straightforward than it might feel. You don't need to have all the answers before. If a conversation with a doctor feels like a big step right now, that's fine. Understanding what support looks like is good place to begin.
